Our Pole Program:

Our pole curriculum begins with Intro to Pole, a class that must be taken 1-3 times by pole beginners, or until they feel ready to go to Level 1. Levels 1 and 2 are eight-week sessions where students will learn a routine in class. Then they have the opportunity to perform and graduate into the next level. On average, students stay in a level for 2-4 cycles. In Levels 3 and 4, students will create and perform their own routines to advance; Level 5 is the ultimate level where the learning never ends!

*If you’re visiting from out of town, please call to discuss the appropriate level to join in!

*Although our group fitness classes welcome anyone who wants to unleash their inner Queen, please note that pole classes are women only unless marked “co-ed” on the schedule.

FAQs.

What do I wear or bring to class?

For the group fitness classes, please wear comfortable workout clothing and tennis shoes. Some classes are barefoot. Bring a yoga mat for any flexibility & toning classes, a water bottle, and a towel if you glisten! For pole classes, please wear spandex shorts (regular workout shorts will work for beginner levels), a tank top, a sports bra, and bare feet. We also have a selection of specific pole-wear clothing at available for purchase at the studio. As class levels advance and tricks become more difficult, more skin exposure is recommended in order to grip the pole. Undergarments are NOT acceptable workout gear. Sweatpants, jackets, and leg warmers/socks are recommended for warming up or floor work. DO NOT WEAR LOTION, OILS OR JEWELRY! Slippery skin can cause injury. Pole towels are provided.

Do I have to be strong/athletic or have experience in dance to try a pole class?

NO! Absolutely not! Pole is an activity that women of any age, shape, height, or size can try. Students begin in the Intro to Pole class to learn the fundamentals of pole and will advance only when they feel comfortable.

What can I do about my slippery hands?

Many students experience sweaty hands when learning pole due to nerves, excitement, or exertion. As you continue practicing, you will build the strength in your hands needed for gripping the pole. We also provide a selection of grip aids available for purchase at the front desk. If you skin is dry, a tacky or moisturizing grip will work better, but if you have sweaty hands, an antiperspirant will help tremendously (Tite Grip/Dry Hands).
